Pune: After days of cold wave conditions and chilly mornings, Pune’s weather is finally expected to improve. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), residents may experience warmer days in the coming week, following the season’s coldest mornings when temperatures dipped into single digits.
By this Sunday, several areas in Pune are expected to record minimum temperatures around 11–12 °C, signaling a gradual easing of the cold spell. Daytime highs across the city are forecasted between 28–33 °C, offering more comfortable conditions for outdoor activities.
Areas Expected to Get Warmer
The IMD predicts that Koregaon will see maximum temperatures of 33 °C and minimums of 18 °C, while the NDA area will record highs of 29 °C and lows of 15 °C. Near Lohegaon Airport, temperatures are expected to reach 32 °C during the day and fall to 15 °C at night.
Residents in Pashan and Shivajinagar will also notice a rise in temperatures. Pashan is forecasted to see a maximum of 28 °C and minimum of 12 °C, while Shivajinagar will record highs of 31 °C and lows of 12 °C. Earlier in the week, Pashan and Shivajinagar experienced the season’s coldest nights, dipping below normal for this time of year.
No warnings have been issued for the week. Skies are expected to remain mostly clear, with partly cloudy conditions on some days. While calm nights may trap pollutants in certain pockets, residents can generally expect relief from the intense cold-wave conditions that affected Pune in recent days.
