Visakhapatnam: The police have granted conditional permission for YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Anakapalle scheduled for tomorrow. Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi announced that Jagan has been allowed to travel by road from Visakhapatnam Airport via NAD New Road, Vepagunta, and Saripalli Junction.
However, the permission comes with strict restrictions — no changes in the route or halts are allowed without prior approval from the Traffic ACP. Authorities have also prohibited large gatherings, processions, and road marches during the visit.
The police emphasized that the permission was issued keeping public safety and traffic management in mind. The restrictions follow recent security concerns in neighboring Tamil Nadu, leading to heightened vigilance during high-profile political tours in Andhra Pradesh.
