Congress Played Key Role in Taking India to Global Stage: Ministers
Senior Congress leaders on Saturday asserted that the party has played a decisive role in positioning India prominently on the global stage through its policies, democratic values and international engagement. Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Vivek Venkatswamy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir Azhar said the Congress legacy continues to shape India’s global standing.
They highlighted that landmark economic reforms, a strong foreign policy framework and India’s leadership in international forums were outcomes of Congress-led initiatives over the decades. The ministers criticised rival parties for claiming credit without acknowledging the foundations laid by previous Congress governments.
Referring to the present Telangana government, they said the Congress was committed to inclusive development, social justice and strengthening federalism, in line with its national vision. The leaders also accused the Opposition of diverting public attention from real issues through political rhetoric.
They reiterated that the Congress would continue to uphold constitutional values while working to enhance India’s reputation as a democratic and pluralistic nation on the world stage.
