Costly LED Screens in Ministers’ Conference Halls Draw Criticism Over Government Spending

Costly LED Screens in Ministers’ Conference Halls at Telangana Secretariat

Costly LED Screens in Ministers’ Conference Halls have sparked criticism after reports said two senior Telangana ministers installed expensive LED display systems in their conference rooms. Costly LED Screens in Ministers’ Conference Halls have become a major issue as the state continues to speak about financial challenges.

The Secretariat replaced large televisions with advanced LED screens in the Chief Minister’s conference hall after video conference problems. One senior minister liked the new setup and asked officials to install the same system in his conference room.

Another senior minister later made a similar request. Officials approved the work and completed the installation. One department used its own funds to pay for the project.

Each LED screen installation reportedly costs between ₹45 lakh and ₹50 lakh. The spending has drawn criticism because many retired employees still await their pending benefits. Critics say the government found funds for these upgrades but delayed other payments.
