Another senior minister later made a similar request. Officials approved the work and completed the installation. One department used its own funds to pay for the project.
Each LED screen installation reportedly costs between ₹45 lakh and ₹50 lakh. The spending has drawn criticism because many retired employees still await their pending benefits. Critics say the government found funds for these upgrades but delayed other payments.
