According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) , out of the 30 Chief Ministers in India , 12 are facing criminal cases. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy tops the list with 89 criminal cases registered against him, followed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin with 47 cases . Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ranks third with 19 criminal cases .
The ADR compiled this report based on affidavits submitted by the Chief Ministers during their election nominations. The organization highlights the growing concern over the criminal background of political leaders and its impact on governance and public trust. ADR emphasizes the importance of transparency and urges voters to carefully evaluate the background of candidates before casting their votes in elections.
