The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has cleared a proposal to buy 114 Rafale fighter jets for the Indian Air Force. This decision allows India to move ahead with detailed technical and commercial talks with France regarding the deal.
The approval comes after the recent visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to India, which helped strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.
