Delhi 2-Day Work From Home Policy Sparks Lockdown Buzz

Delhi 2-Day Work From Home Policy announced to reduce traffic and save fuel

The Delhi 2-Day Work From Home Policy has sparked strong discussion across India. The Delhi government introduced this step to save fuel and reduce traffic in the capital. Under the Delhi 2-Day Work From Home Policy, government employees will work from home for two days every week.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the decision and urged people to support fuel-saving efforts. Authorities also encouraged private companies to adopt similar work-from-home systems. Officials believe this step can reduce fuel use and traffic congestion.

The government also launched new transport measures. Officials must use the Delhi Metro every Monday instead of private vehicles. Leaders named the day “Metro Day” to promote public transport. Citizens can also take part in a weekly “No Vehicle Day.”

Authorities stopped buying new government vehicles for six months. Leaders also restricted foreign trips for ministers and officials. These steps aim to reduce fuel consumption and support national conservation efforts.
