Dense Fog in North India Leads to Cancellation of 29 Flights at Hyderabad Airport

Dense fog in several parts of North India badly affected air travel on December 16, leading to the cancellation of 29 flights at Hyderabad airport. Airport officials said the fog reduced visibility at destination airports, especially in northern cities, forcing airlines to cancel or delay flights for safety reasons.
The cancelled flights were operating between Hyderabad and major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Ahmedabad, Pune, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai and Madurai. Many passengers were left stranded at the airport, while others faced long delays and rescheduling issues.
Airlines advised passengers to check flight status before travelling and stay in touch with customer care for updates. Airport authorities said ground staff were helping passengers with information and alternative arrangements.
Weather officials said dense fog is common during winter months in North India and may continue to disrupt flight operations in the coming days. Passengers were urged to plan travel carefully.
