Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks have gained significance in the backdrop of the recent hike in US H1-B visa fees. Addressing the issue, Modi emphasized that over-dependence on foreign nations is the biggest threat to India’s future.
He stressed that the true goal of 140 crore Indians should be achieving complete self-reliance . “Whether it is chips or ships, everything must be manufactured in India ,” the Prime Minister declared, underlining his government’s commitment to building a robust domestic industrial base.
Modi also highlighted the government’s ongoing reforms aimed at boosting ease of doing business. He specifically pointed to the “One Nation, One Port Process, ” which he said would simplify trade and logistics, helping India become more competitive globally.
Framing self-reliance as the only viable option, Modi urged citizens and industries alike to seize the moment and contribute to India’s economic independence and long-term strength .
