Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti on Tuesday emphasized the need for a “productivity shock” across sectors to help India achieve a $3-trillion economy by 2047. Speaking at an economic forum in Hyderabad, he highlighted that improving efficiency, innovation, and workforce skill development are critical to sustaining high growth rates over the next two decades.
Bhatti stressed that both public and private sectors must adopt transformative measures, including digitization, technology adoption, and investment in human capital, to boost productivity. He also pointed to the importance of policy reforms that simplify regulations and encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment in key industries.
The Deputy CM urged stakeholders to focus on long-term strategies rather than short-term gains, noting that structural improvements in productivity would create jobs, increase competitiveness, and strengthen India’s position in the global economy by 2047.
