The Dial 112 awareness campaign took center stage in Dhanbad on Wednesday as the police launched a citywide drive to educate residents about the emergency response system. A police team led by CCR DSP Sumit Kumar visited major areas and interacted with citizens. Officers explained that Dial 112 connects callers to police, fire services, ambulance support and other emergency help within minutes. They stressed that people should immediately dial the number in case of road accidents, fire incidents, crime situations or health emergencies.
The team also informed the public about road safety, traffic rules and responsible commuting. According to officials, the Dial 112 service in Dhanbad ensures fast response. Police teams reach most locations in only five minutes, which strengthens the safety network of the city.
Authorities believe that the campaign will increase public trust in the emergency support system and encourage quicker reporting of critical situations. Continuous awareness drives will help residents stay safe and informed.
