Dharwad Pushes Faster Multi-Village Water Project

Dharwad Zilla Panchayat CEO

Dharwad Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Bhuvanesh Patil urged officials to speed up the multi-village drinking water project in the district. He stressed this point twice as he reviewed the progress and told teams to complete every stage within the planned deadline. He said the drinking water project plays a crucial role in improving daily life in rural communities.

The district is developing a large-scale plan to supply drinking water to 388 villages. The administration chose the DBOT (Design, Build, Operate, Transfer) model to make the project efficient and transparent. Patil explained that this model helps teams maintain quality, reduce delays, and keep long-term operations smooth.

During the meeting, he asked engineers and contractors to remove bottlenecks quickly. He also instructed field staff to monitor each site regularly and report issues before they slow down the schedule. Patil added that advanced planning and timely coordination will help villages receive reliable drinking water without interruptions.

He noted that the project supports health, education, and economic activity across the district. Clean water, he said, directly contributes to better living standards and reduces the pressure on families who currently depend on irregular sources.

Patil concluded that Dharwad must treat this project as a top priority and deliver it with accuracy and urgency.
