Digambara Jain monk threatened in Bihar news headline

The Digambara Jain monk threatened incident in Bihar has drawn public attention. On Tuesday morning, miscreants stopped a Jain monk, Upaparjayi Shramana Shri Vishalya Sagar Ji Muniraj, in Gopinathpur Dokra. They tried to force him to wear clothes, which goes against the Digambara tradition. Because he refused, the Digambara Jain monk threatened incident took a serious turn.

The monk was on his way to attend a program at an ancient Jain temple in Vaishali. The attackers blocked him near NH-722 and tried to assault him. Shocked by the harassment, the monk sat silently on the roadside.

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information. They controlled the situation and safely escorted the monk to the Karja police station area. Officers also arranged protection for his onward journey toward Madwan.

In another disturbing incident in Gopinathpur, a young man abused a woman and threatened to shoot her when she resisted. He fled the spot, and police are now searching for him. Station House Officer Subhash Mukhiya stated that the woman was escorted safely with police protection.

These incidents have raised serious concerns about safety and respect for religious traditions in the region.
