Diljit Dosanjh Addresses Sardaarji 3 Controversy, Pahalgam Attack & India-Pak Match

Diljit Dosanjh speaking at concert – addressing Sardaarji 3 row

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh recently addressed the controversy surrounding his film Sardaarji 3, the Pahalgam terror attack, and the India-Pakistan cricket match during his Malaysia concert. He emphasized that Sikhs can never act against their nation and explained why he remained silent for months.

In a video from the event, Diljit saluted the national flag, saying, “Woh mere desh da jhanda hai. Always respect.” He clarified that Sardaarji 3 was filmed in February, before the Pahalgam attack on April 22, which killed 26 people. The India-Pakistan cricket match took place after the attack.

Diljit expressed his condolences for the victims of the Pahalgam tragedy and condemned terrorism, stating prayers for strict punishment for those responsible. He explained that although he has many things to respond to, he chose to stay silent and not let negativity affect him, learning from life not to absorb others’ poison.

Earlier this year, Sardaarji 3 faced backlash for featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The film’s worldwide release, excluding India, drew criticism, and FWICE demanded blacklisting Diljit and revoking citizenship, though the order was later withdrawn.

Diljit has now wrapped shooting for his next film, Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026.
