Disha Patani Home Firing: Two Accused Shot Dead in Ghaziabad

Police encounter in Ghaziabad kills accused in Disha Patani home firing case

Police shot dead two accused in the Disha Patani home firing case during an encounter in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. The operation was carried out jointly by Delhi Police and the Uttar Pradesh STF near Tronica City.

The accused were identified as Ravinda alias Kullu and Arun, both from Rohtak, Haryana. They belonged to the Goldy Brar–Rohit Godara gang, which is active across states. During the encounter, the duo opened fire on the police. Officers retaliated, leaving both men injured. They later died from their injuries.

The case began on September 12, when two bike-borne shooters fired nearly 12 rounds outside Disha Patani’s ancestral home in Bareilly’s Civil Lines area. The attack shocked locals and raised concerns about celebrity security. Following the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promised Disha’s father, Jagdish Patani, strict action and stronger security cover.

Goldy Brar is suspected to be hiding in the US, while Rohit Godara is believed to be in the UK. Both are wanted by the NIA and several state police units. The Ghaziabad encounter is being seen as a major breakthrough in Uttar Pradesh’s fight against organized crime.
