The Durga temple murder case has shocked Bihar’s Gopalganj district. A six-year-old girl named Kriti went missing after attending aarti with her mother at the Lachhwar Durga Temple. The Durga temple murder case came to light when her body was found in the Narayanpur canal on Tuesday morning.

A farmer noticed a foul smell while going to his field and saw the child’s body in the water. There were visible wound marks on her neck. Police believe that she was strangled.

The Station House Officer, Varun Kumar Jha, and his team reached the spot after receiving information from villagers. A forensic team was called to collect blood stains, clothing, and other key evidence. The child was identified as Kriti Kumari, the daughter of Arvind Ram from Bhore village.

Kriti lived with her mother, Alka Devi, in a rented room near the temple. Her mother said Kriti disappeared suddenly after the evening aarti on November 21st. The family searched for her for several days but found no trace until the tragic discovery.

The incident has created fear and anger among local residents. Police are investigating all possible angles to catch the culprit.
