Farmers in Telangana faced a hectic start to the day as they lined up from early morning to procure urea, amid reports of shortages across several districts. The scarcity has caused widespread concern, with many farmers anxious about securing enough fertilizer for their crops. In some regions, limited stocks have already triggered protests, while in others, farmers are uncertain about when and where supplies will be available.
Today, large crowds gathered in Gudur, Mahabubabad district , following news that urea distribution had commenced. To prevent chaos and ensure orderly allocation, police personnel intervened and began distributing tokens among farmers. The authorities emphasized maintaining discipline, highlighting the importance of safety and fairness during distribution.
The situation underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the agricultural sector in Telangana , with timely availability of essential fertilizers remaining a critical concern for crop planning and yield. Farmers hope that such measures will reduce uncertainty and guarantee access to necessary resources.
