Bihar Election 2025 VVPAT rules have become a major focus after the Election Commission released new counting instructions. These rules aim to make the vote-counting process clearer and more reliable. Voters and parties want transparency, so the Commission explained how counting will work at booths where VVPAT machines were replaced.
The Commission said that at every booth with a replaced machine, counting teams will match VVPAT slips before they count the votes. All used VVPAT machines from that booth will be placed on one table. Counting agents will watch as slips are taken out and arranged. These slips will then be compared with the EVM data. The Bihar Election 2025 VVPAT rules ensure that counting begins only when both sets match.
The Commission also shared guidance on stuck slips. If a slip gets stuck inside the machine during replacement, officials will remove it. But it will not be counted because the vote becomes valid only when the slip is cut and dropped inside the machine. Slips that never entered the box will not be treated as votes.
These steps are meant to build trust and ensure a smooth and fair counting process across Bihar.
