Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that India’s middle class has grown and the economy has become stronger in recent years. She stated that government policies have helped increase incomes, create jobs, and support small businesses.
Speaking in New Delhi, the Minister said reforms, digital payments, and infrastructure development have improved economic activity across the country. She added that welfare schemes and tax benefits have reduced the burden on common people and encouraged spending.
According to her, India remains one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world. She highlighted growth in manufacturing, services, and exports as key achievements.
The Minister also said that the government is focused on maintaining steady growth while keeping inflation under control. She expressed confidence that continued reforms and investments will further strengthen the economy and expand opportunities for the middle class in the coming years.
