Efforts Underway to Neutralize Foreign Terrorists Hiding in Jammu Forests, Says IGP
The Jammu Police are intensifying efforts to neutralize foreign terrorists reportedly hiding in the dense forests of Jammu, said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on October 21, 2025. The IGP highlighted the increasing use of advanced technology by terrorists and criminals, including drones, to attempt breaches in the security grid.
Despite these challenges, the security agencies remain vigilant and are reportedly two steps ahead of such tactics to maintain internal security. Enhanced surveillance, intelligence gathering, and coordinated operations between police and paramilitary forces form the backbone of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
The IGP assured the public that proactive measures are being taken to prevent any security lapse and that efforts will continue until all terrorist threats are eliminated. The authorities have urged citizens to remain alert and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability in the region.
