A dramatic incident unfolded in Patna when an engineer throwing ₹32 lakh cash from his house window tried to hide evidence during a vigilance raid. The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) conducted raids at the residence and office of a senior engineer linked with Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Limited (BMSICL).
Officials said the engineer throwing ₹32 lakh cash panicked when investigators arrived at his home in the Kadamkuan area. In a rush, he began tossing bundles of cash and jewellery out of the window. The vigilance team quickly recovered the items.
During the search, authorities seized around ₹32 lakh in cash and gold, silver, and diamond jewellery worth about ₹1.31 crore. Investigators also found documents related to investments and property owned by the engineer and his family members.
