The EO Krishna Bhushan cremation with state honours will take place after Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced government support for the slain officer’s family. The officer was killed during a shooting incident at the municipal office in Sultanganj in Bhagalpur district.
The EO Krishna Bhushan cremation with state honours decision came after the tragic killing shocked the state administration. The Chief Minister said the government would provide ₹25 lakh as financial assistance to the officer’s family and ensure the last rites are performed with full state honours.
Krishna Bhushan Kumar served as the Executive Officer of the Sultanganj Municipal Council. According to reports, armed attackers entered the office and opened fire during a meeting. The officer tried to stop the attackers and showed bravery while performing his duty. Unfortunately, he suffered fatal injuries during the incident.
The incident created shock and grief among officials and residents. Senior administrative officers and police personnel gathered at the officer’s home to pay their respects as the body was brought there for the final rites.
Police later identified the main accused in the case and launched a major operation. Authorities say the suspect died in a police encounter after the attack.
