EOU Raid has intensified in Bihar as the Economic Offences Unit cracked down on another senior official accused of corruption. The EOU Raid targeted the premises of Bhavesh Kumar Singh, a development officer with the Pataliputra Central Co-operative Bank.
The action followed allegations that the officer built wealth far beyond his known income. Investigators say his assets are around 60.68 percent higher than what his earnings justify. Officials believe illegal income sources played a key role.
EOU teams launched simultaneous searches at six locations in Patna and Gopalganj. These include his rented apartment in Ramjaypal Nagar, a multi-storey building near Gas Godown Gali, his ancestral home in Jalalpur village, and offices linked to fuel and rice mill businesses. The bank office on S.P. Verma Road was also searched.
During the operation, officers examined property papers, bank records, and transaction details. Senior EOU official Nayyar Hasnain Khan confirmed the raid and said the investigation is active.
Sources said the officer owns a large apartment in Patna and a five-storey house. The raid may uncover major assets in the coming days.
A case has been registered under Economic Offences Police Station Case No. 43/2025. Further action will follow after full verification.
