Fake Aadhaar Card Racket in Kishanganj police raid recovering biometric devices and forged documents

Police have uncovered a Fake Aadhaar Card Racket in Kishanganj, a border district in Bihar’s Seemanchal region. Officers raided a location in the Tedhagachh police station area and arrested one accused involved in producing forged identity documents.

The Fake Aadhaar Card Racket in Kishanganj operated secretly from a grocery shop. The accused allegedly created fake Aadhaar cards and other documents for hundreds of people. During the raid, police seized Aadhaar cards linked to nearly 400 names along with laptops, biometric scanners, fingerprint devices, ATM cards, passbooks, and several official stamps.

Officials said they received intelligence about illegal document preparation in the border region. A special police team tracked the activity for several days before conducting the raid and collecting evidence.

Initial investigation shows that the racket had a wide network across Seemanchal and extended to parts of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Authorities are now probing whether the network had links to illegal infiltration or other criminal activities.

Police have registered a case and launched further raids to identify other members of the gang.
