Panna Police have busted an inter-state fraud gang involved in fake gold scams and arrested nine accused from Rajasthan. The gang targeted victims by offering “buried treasure” deals and fake gold jewellery.

Panna Superintendent of Police Nivedita Nayudu said the accused used a clever deception method. They first showed a small piece of real gold to win trust. After fixing the deal, they handed over a large quantity of fake jewellery and escaped.

The latest case surfaced in Saleha town. The gang cheated a local trader of ₹3 lakh using the same trick. Acting swiftly, a special police team tracked the suspects. The team laid a trap and arrested them from Jalore and Udaipur districts.

Police recovered more than 3.5 kilograms of fake gold from the accused. They also seized ₹1.22 lakh in cash and four motorcycles used in the crimes. Officials believe the gang operated across several states using similar methods.

Saleha police station in-charge Balveer Singh confirmed the recovery and arrests. He said the accused planned their moves carefully and targeted unsuspecting traders.

This action has exposed a major fraud network. Police have urged citizens to stay alert. Authorities warned people not to trust offers involving hidden wealth or quick profits.
