Police have uncovered a Fake STF Raid in Bihar after arresting five members of an inter-district gang in Motihari. The gang included a dismissed police constable and two retired Home Guard personnel who posed as officers of the Special Task Force (STF) to cheat and rob people.
According to police, the Fake STF Raid in Bihar was carefully planned to target victims through a “money doubling” scheme. The gang lured people with promises of turning ₹1 lakh into ₹3 lakh. When victims arrived with cash, the group staged a fake STF raid in police uniforms. The sudden raid created panic, and victims ran away, leaving their money behind.
Police said dismissed constable Lal Bahadur Ram led the gang. During the raid, officers recovered ₹1.81 lakh in cash, four police uniforms, caps, belts, police ID cards, batons, and vehicles including a Scorpio and two Boleros.
Investigators also found that the gang operated in several districts, including East Champaran, Hajipur, and Kishanganj. Police are now identifying other victims and searching for more people linked to the crime.
