FBI Prevents Michigan Terror Plot Ahead of Halloween

FBI prevents Michigan terror plot

The FBI stopped a potential terrorist attack planned for Michigan over the Halloween weekend, according to Director Kash Patel. On Friday morning, agents arrested several suspects allegedly preparing a violent assault in the northern U.S. state.

Patel announced the successful operation on X, crediting swift action and strong coordination with local law enforcement. “Through teamwork and quick response, a possible act of terror was stopped before it could unfold,” he stated. He praised the agents for their vigilance, noting that their efforts ensured a safe and peaceful Halloween for Michigan residents.

The FBI has not yet released full details about the alleged plot but said more information will follow soon.

In Dearborn, a city west of Detroit, the local police department confirmed that FBI operations took place early Friday. Officers assured residents there was no ongoing threat to the community. Witnesses reported seeing agents searching several homes in the Dearborn area later that morning.

The coordinated effort highlights the FBI’s continued focus on preventing domestic threats and protecting public safety during major public events.
