A female constable molested in auto rickshaw faced a brutal attack in Bhabhua town of Bihar’s Kaimur district on Sunday evening. The incident took place when the constable was returning from duty and hired an auto-rickshaw to reach home.
During the ride, the accused began harassing her. When the constable resisted, he tried to force himself on her. Sensing danger, she jumped out of the moving auto near the police line gate and ran for help.
However, the attacker chased her and assaulted her again near the barracks. He punched her repeatedly and tried to suffocate her using a muffler. Blood started coming out of her mouth as she screamed for help.
Hearing her cries, local people rushed to the spot and rescued her. They informed the police immediately. Officers reached the scene and took the injured constable for medical treatment.
Police arrested the accused on the spot. He was identified as Sumit Chaturvedi, an Army soldier from Siwan district. A case was registered based on the constable’s complaint, and further investigation is underway.
The female constable molested in auto rickshaw case has raised serious concerns about women’s safety, even for those serving in uniform.
