Fog wreaks havoc in Bhojpur once again, turning a busy road into a danger zone early Saturday morning. Due to dense fog, four vehicles crashed into each other one after another on the Jagdishpur–Devradh Road in Bihar’s Bhojpur district.
The accident happened around 5 a.m. in the Ghanga police station area. Poor visibility slowed traffic, but it was not enough to prevent disaster. A grain-loaded truck moved cautiously through the fog when another truck hit it from behind.
Soon after, a crane rammed into the same vehicles. A Swift Dzire car then crashed into the pile-up. Within 15 minutes, fog wreaks havoc in Bhojpur as all four vehicles collided in the same lane, causing panic at the spot.
Six people suffered injuries in the incident. The injured include the driver of the empty truck and five people travelling in the crane. One victim remains in critical condition.
Police rushed to the scene after getting information. The injured were taken to Jagdishpur sub-divisional hospital. Doctors later referred the critically injured person to a higher medical centre.
In a separate accident, a container truck hit a parked truck near the Koilwar Bridge–Chhapra turn. The driver and helper were trapped but later rescued and shifted to hospital.
