In Andhra Pradesh, former Deputy Chief Minister Narayanaswamy may be arrested at any moment in connection with the liquor case . The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had earlier issued notices to him, but he failed to appear for questioning. Following this, SIT officials conducted searches at his residence in Tirupati .

Narayanaswamy served as the Excise Minister during the YSRCP government when the new liquor policy was formulated, a period now under scrutiny. Officials suspect irregularities in the policy’s implementation and his possible involvement in related decisions.

The SIT is gathering crucial evidence, and sources suggest that his arrest could happen soon if he does not cooperate with the investigation. The development has sparked political discussions, with many seeing this as a significant step in the ongoing probe into the liquor scam.
