The Gambhir Test Cricket Crisis is growing fast as India’s home Test dominance continues to break down. The sharp decline has shocked fans, and the debate around Gautam Gambhir’s future as head coach is now louder than ever. The Gambhir Test Cricket Crisis reached its peak after India suffered a 0-2 home series loss to South Africa, their second home whitewash in just 13 months.

India has dropped five of their last seven home Tests, a situation that looked impossible just a few years ago. A crushing 408-run defeat in Guwahati increased the pressure. Gambhir pointed to India’s ICC Champions Trophy win, Asia Cup success, and a drawn England series to defend his tenure, but critics believe these achievements cannot hide the Test decline.

Former India cricketer and politician Manoj Tiwary delivered the strongest attack yet. He urged BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia to remove Gambhir and rebuild India’s red-ball structure. Tiwary said constant changes, unclear planning, and weak long-term strategy damaged India’s Test progress. He also supported appointing a separate Test coach, saying this step is necessary to protect India’s falling standards in red-ball cricket.
