Gamchha Wave Controversy: Bihar Minister Joins Trend After PM Modi

Gamchha Wave Controversy: Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav waving a gamchha during a public event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent celebration sparked the Gamchha Wave Controversy, after he lifted party workers’ spirits by waving a gamchha. The Gamchha Wave Controversy grew further when Bihar Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav was seen waving his gamchha in a lively style during an event.
A video from Danapur, Patna, is now viral, showing Yadav moving the gamchha to a Bhojpuri song by Pawan Singh.

Yadav said the gamchha represents the pride of Bihar’s farmers. He added that PM Modi strengthened this pride by waving it during the NDA’s victory celebrations. Several leaders and supporters also joined him at the event, waving their gamchhas with enthusiasm.

The minister said the simple cloth symbolizes farmers, labourers, and the poor. According to him, PM Modi honored them by waving it. He claimed the gesture sends a message of respect and unity.

Yadav also targeted the opposition, saying they are “in shock and despair” after the results. He accused them of ignoring their duties in the assembly while travelling abroad. With elections ahead, he said it is uncertain whether the opposition can improve their seat count.
