Police investigation into ganja thrown in Beur Jail using nearby rooftop

Patna Police have busted a gang involved in ganja thrown in Beur Jail to supply drugs to inmates. The accused used the roof of a house located next to the jail to throw marijuana packets inside the prison premises. The operation continued for several days before police took action. Ganja thrown in Beur Jail raised serious questions about prison security.

Police acted on secret information and conducted a raid near Beur Akhara. They arrested four people from the area and seized ganja, cash, and mobile phones. During questioning, the accused revealed the full plan.

The main supplier brought ganja from outside Patna. Another accused allowed the gang to use his house, which shares a boundary wall with the jail. From the rooftop, packets were thrown into the jail during late hours.

Inside the jail, a notorious inmate received the drugs and distributed them among prisoners. Police said the inmate already has several criminal cases against him.

After the arrests, police informed jail authorities and advised them to strengthen security around the jail boundary. Further investigation is ongoing to find more people linked to the network.
