Google Subsidiary Raiden Infotech to Invest ₹87,520 Crore in Visakhapatnam Data Cluster

Visakhapatnam: In a major boost to Andhra Pradesh’s digital infrastructure, Google’s subsidiary company Raiden Infotech has announced plans to establish Asia’s largest data cluster in Visakhapatnam. The massive project involves an investment of ₹87,520 crore, marking one of the biggest foreign direct investments (FDI) ever in India.

The proposal received approval from the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) during its 11th meeting. The mega data cluster will include three campuses, strategically linked to the upcoming international cable landing station in Visakhapatnam, enhancing global data connectivity.

Officials stated that the project will not only strengthen India’s data infrastructure but also generate significant employment opportunities in the state. The government hailed the investment as a transformative step toward positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leading hub for technology, cloud computing, and digital innovation in Asia.
