Grandson Donates Liver to Grandmother in a touching incident that highlights the power of family love. A 19-year-old student from Hajipur in Bihar skipped his Class 12 CBSE board exams to save his grandmother’s life by donating part of his liver. The decision surprised many but showed his strong bond with his grandmother.
The boy, Aditya Raj, took the step after doctors said his 62-year-old grandmother Sunita Devi needed a liver transplant due to severe liver disease. Several family members went through medical tests, but none of them matched as suitable donors.
Aditya then volunteered to donate a portion of his liver. Doctors at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali performed the transplant surgery and used about 710 grams of his liver for the procedure.
The operation succeeded, and both the grandson and grandmother recovered well. Because of the surgery and recovery period, Aditya had to miss his Class 12 exams.
The Grandson Donates Liver to Grandmother story has inspired many people and shows how far someone can go to save a loved one.
