Guava Festival 2026 Sawai Madhopur will mark the city’s 263rd foundation day with a major agricultural celebration. Under the Panch Gaurav campaign, the Guava Festival and Advanced Agriculture Technology Fair 2026 will take place on January 18 and 19 at Dussehra Maidan.
District Collector Kana Ram said the event is an initiative led by Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena. The main goal is to make farmers self-reliant and turn farming into a profitable business. Organisers expect over 10,000 farmers from the district and nearby areas to attend each day.
Guava farming has emerged as a strong commercial sector in Sawai Madhopur. Around 20,000 farmers cultivate guava across nearly 15,000 hectares. The district produces about four lakh metric tonnes annually, with a market value close to six billion rupees. Rising demand has driven this growth and strengthened farmer incomes.
The fair will feature more than 150 stalls showcasing guava varieties, processed products, and advanced saplings. Visitors will explore smart farming models, hi-tech horticulture, and organic farming techniques. Authorities will also honour progressive guava growers.
Scientists from national institutions like ICAR and CIPHET are likely to participate. Farmers will interact directly with experts and startups to find practical solutions.
