A disturbing incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district has shocked the region, where a woman abandoned her one-month-old baby girl inside Kamla Raja Hospital. The woman approached a man named Brijesh Sen, handed over the infant by saying she needed to use the washroom, and then mysteriously vanished.

Brijesh waited patiently for nearly two hours, hoping the woman would return, but when she didn’t, he grew concerned and began searching for her within the hospital premises. As the newborn started crying in hunger and showing signs of distress, he alerted the hospital staff and later informed the nearby police outpost.

Doctors immediately admitted the baby to the NICU, where she is currently receiving proper medical attention. The hospital staff and police officers praised Brijesh for acting responsibly and ensuring the child’s safety.

Police have now launched a thorough investigation to identify the woman and determine whether she is the baby’s biological mother or a relative. Officers are examining CCTV footage from the hospital and questioning eyewitnesses.

Authorities are also probing the possibility of familial conflict, financial trouble, or intentional abandonment. The heartbreaking incident has left the community shaken as the search for the infant’s parents continues.
