T. Harish Rao, former minister, criticized the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over municipal chairman elections in Telangana. He said the two parties have ignored their political ideologies and joined hands for power.
Speaking to the media, Harish Rao asked Congress if cooperating with BJP is the “change” it had promised voters. He claimed that such alliances show that both parties are more interested in controlling local bodies than following principles or serving citizens.
He also said the recent election clashes, postponements, and disputes reflected the consequences of political maneuvering. According to him, people are losing faith in parties that put power above public interest.
Harish Rao urged voters to carefully watch how parties behave in future elections and stressed the importance of transparent, fair democratic processes for local governance.
