Haryana forms high-level committee to fast-track project execution as the state government steps up efforts to curb delays in development works. Haryana forms high-level committee to fast-track project execution with a clear focus on efficiency, accountability, and timely delivery of public projects.

The committee will monitor development works across the state and conduct fortnightly reviews. In addition, the Chief Minister will hold comprehensive assessments every two months to ensure strict oversight.

According to official orders issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the committee includes senior officials closely associated with the Chief Minister’s Office. These include Additional Principal Secretary to the CM Dr Saket Kumar, Officer on Special Duty Narender Pal Malik, and Senior Consultant Karan Ahlawadi.

Chief Engineer (Public Health) Rajeev Batish will provide technical support to the panel, especially for monitoring projects through the HEWP Portal. The committee will track timelines from administrative approval to the award of work.

It will also review delays in architectural approvals, assess gaps between project award and execution, and examine inter-departmental clearances. The panel will closely monitor completion schedules, cost escalations, and revised timelines after fresh approvals.

Further, the committee will ensure proper maintenance of completed assets to maximise public benefit.

To maintain continuous oversight, the panel will submit monthly progress reports to the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, allowing swift corrective action when required.
