Bihar police carried out a hashish seizure in Bihar, recovering drugs worth around Rs 4 crore in two separate operations in Maner and Raxaul. The police acted on intelligence about drug trafficking in these areas. The hashish seizure in Bihar marks a major crackdown on illegal narcotics ahead of the New Year.
In Maner, police raided areas near Hospital Mor and seized about 1 kg of hashish, 0.5 kg of opium, a country-made pistol, three cartridges, boxes of illegal liquor, and nearly Rs 12 lakh in cash. Four suspects were arrested, while a key suspect, Piyush, escaped. The total estimated value of drugs recovered in Maner is around Rs 1 crore.
In Raxaul, police intercepted a vehicle near the border and recovered 7.56 kg of hashish. Three men—Ayush Kumar, Chand Mohammad, and Riaz Khan—were arrested. The Raxaul seizure is worth nearly Rs 3 crore in the market.
Police are continuing investigations to trace other suspects connected to this drug network. Authorities said these operations will help curb the spread of illegal drugs in Bihar.
