Health Minister Highlights Transparency with 413 Press Releases in 19 Months
Andhra Pradesh Health Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to transparency by citing the release of 413 press statements over the past 19 months. Speaking in Vijayawada, the Minister said that regular communication with the public through press releases ensures accountability and keeps citizens informed about health initiatives, policy decisions, and developmental projects.
The Minister emphasised that the frequent updates cover a wide range of issues, including public health campaigns, disease prevention, hospital infrastructure, and welfare schemes for patients. By providing timely information, the government aims to build trust with the public and encourage community participation in health programmes.
Officials were also urged to maintain detailed records and follow clear protocols while issuing statements, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. The Minister noted that transparency is central to effective governance and added that Andhra Pradesh continues to adopt innovative measures to strengthen citizen engagement, policy monitoring, and service delivery in the health sector.
