Healthy Lifestyle Key to Keeping Heart Fit, Says Doctor

Dr. A. Purnanand, a heart specialist, said that a healthy lifestyle is very important to keep the heart strong and prevent diseases. Speaking at a Praja Arogya Vedika seminar in Vijayawada, he explained that nearly 80% of heart problems can be prevented with the right habits.

Dr. Purnanand advised people to eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, avoid smoking and alcohol, and manage stress. He said that simple steps like walking, yoga, and eating more fruits and vegetables can make a big difference in heart health.

He also stressed the importance of regular medical check-ups to detect heart problems early. According to him, awareness about healthy living and timely action can reduce the risk of heart attacks, high blood pressure, and other cardiac issues.

The doctor encouraged everyone to take small, consistent steps toward a heart-healthy lifestyle for long-term benefits.
