Home Minister Anitha announced that the Andhra Pradesh government has taken extensive precautionary measures in view of the forecast of very heavy rains in South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. Special instructions have been issued to evacuate residents from low-lying and vulnerable areas to safer locations.
She stated that NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed in Nellore, Prakasam, Kadapa, and Tirupati districts to handle any emergency situation. Additionally, control rooms have been set up in every district to monitor weather updates round the clock and coordinate response efforts.
The Minister urged citizens to stay alert, avoid travel unless essential, and follow the safety guidelines issued by authorities until the situation improves.
