The Telangana Tourism Department is all set to launch helicopter services between Hyderabad and Srisailam starting from the upcoming Sankranti festival. As part of promoting heli-tourism, the department is making extensive preparations to make this service available to pilgrims and tourists. The one-hour journey will offer a breathtaking aerial view over the dense Nallamala forest, providing a unique spiritual and scenic experience.
If the service proves successful, the government plans to extend similar helicopter routes to other tourist destinations such as Ramappa Temple and Laknavaram in the erstwhile Warangal district.
To make the process easier for travelers, a dedicated booking app and website will soon be launched. Officials believe this initiative will not only boost tourism but also offer a faster and more comfortable travel option for devotees visiting the sacred temple town of Srisailam.
