The minister also pointed out that traffic congestion and movement restrictions could make daily commuting unsafe. Therefore, the temporary closure aims to support crowd management and maintain smooth movement across the region during the commemorations.

Authorities expect the main events to attract visitors from across India, which will put pressure on local roads and public facilities. The government believes the holiday will reduce strain on the area and allow officials to manage the historic events effectively.

Schools in the Anandpur Sahib block will resume normal classes after November 26.
