How to Vote Without a Voter ID in Bihar

Bihar Elections 2025 voter ID alternative

Voters in Bihar Elections 2025 can still cast their vote even without a voter ID card. The Election Commission of India has approved 12 photo-bearing documents as valid alternatives. This step ensures that no eligible citizen is left out during voting.

The first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be held on November 6, covering 121 seats. Voters should ideally bring their voter ID to the booth, but if unavailable, they can use any of these accepted IDs — Aadhaar card, driving license, PAN card, MNREGA job card, passport, or pension document.

Other valid documents include a passbook with a photo issued by a bank or post office, Ayushman Bharat health card, NPR smart card, service identity card, and the unique disability ID card. These documents will help identify voters, provided their names are on the electoral roll.

This initiative simplifies voting for citizens and promotes wider participation in the Bihar Elections 2025.
