Sagar was admitted on November 14 after developing severe health complications, including bilateral pneumonia, acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF) and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome. Doctors tried their best, but his health declined rapidly, and he passed away at 9:08 p.m.
Known for lending his voice to more than 100 Odia songs, Humane Sagar earned immense love for his emotional singing style and powerful vocals. His death has left a deep void in Odisha’s music industry.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed grief and praised Sagar’s contribution to Odia music. Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also conveyed condolences, calling the singer a rare talent who touched millions of hearts.
