Hyderabad Police Deport Pakistani National After 13 Years of Illegal Stay with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs. Police handed over Muhammad Usman, also known as Mohd Abbas Ikram (48), to Pakistan Rangers at the Attari Border in Punjab on September 9.
Usman entered India illegally through the Nepal border in 2011. During his stay, he committed crimes in Hyderabad and faced four cases. Courts convicted him, and he served multiple prison terms.
After he finished all legal proceedings, police shifted him to the CCS Detention Centre in Hyderabad on September 7, 2024. Officials then carried out his deportation on Tuesday.
The CCS Detention Centre started in August 2018. Since then, it has housed 158 foreign nationals from 19 countries. Out of them, authorities deported 150 people. Recently, on August 12, police deported 20 Bangladeshi nationals for illegal stay and human trafficking.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand warned that action will continue against foreigners who stay illegally in the city.
