The IAF Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla experience has inspired countless Indians after his journey to the International Space Station on the Axiom-4 mission. During an interaction with OTV at SAI International School in Bhubaneswar, Shukla spoke openly about the emotional weight of representing India in space and the intense physical challenges of microgravity. The IAF Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla experience continues to resonate across the country.

Shukla said the mission created a wave of unity across India. He described how people from every corner of the nation followed his journey and celebrated the historic moment. After 41 years, an Indian once again travelled to space, and he felt proud to carry the nation’s hopes with him.

Sharing his personal transformation in space, Shukla explained how the human body reacts differently without gravity. “The body starts rebelling, and you even grow taller,” he said, highlighting how astronauts must quickly adapt to both physical discomfort and emotional pressure.

He credited the mission’s success to the love, support and prayers of people across India. Shukla added that he may have travelled to the ISS, but the achievement belonged to every Indian who believed in the mission.
