Guwahati witnessed a spectacular Air Show by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Saturday, drawing massive crowds from across the region. The event displayed the strength and precision of IAF pilots, leaving spectators in awe.
Speaking at the event, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh expressed pride in hosting such a grand show in Northeast India. He said the IAF had planned it for several years and postponed it from October to November to make it possible. Singh added that the huge public turnout showed the region’s growing national importance and public enthusiasm.
Highlighting the occasion’s significance, the Air Chief said the Northeast is no longer a distant or disconnected region. The IAF has held several air displays here before, but this was the first time Air Force Day celebrations took place in Guwahati — a historic milestone for the service.
When asked about recent military exercises, Singh clarified that these drills are part of routine training. He stressed that they are not linked to any specific developments but reflect the IAF’s focus on constant readiness and professionalism.
